Violet's palm, when flat, fit perfectly in the irregular shaped breastbone of Alexander. She was startled, eyelids parted in succession, by the gentle placement of Alexander's fingers curling just slightly around her thumb. The dim of the candle whispering enough glow to assure Violet of what she felt. She let out an almost inaudible sigh, closing her eyes and imagining a flow of gentle water running from his feet to his head. Violet breathed life into her own heart, responding to the needs of Alexander by expanding love for herself first. She pictured a fire, much like the candle nearby, that grew and became a campfire. Sparks exploding from it, popping slow burns around his body, igniting his inner self. He grinned, sensing her energy subtly shifting from slumber to flames. The pads of Alexander's digits caressing her textured skin faintly in response. Soon, the blankets were discarded at the foot of the bed. Violet gazed out the curtain-less window at the waning gibbous. It appeared larger and brighter than she had recalled. Her heart expanded slightly and Violet felt the extra beat deep into her spine, resonating from Alexander. The corner of his mouth curled up while he desired to know if she was looking at him. She answered by pointing out the moon. The slight disappointment hung in his small retort. Reaching her neck long until Violet had found a soft part of his neck, she kissed his skin fully and deeply, as well as soundlessly. The surprise was held in his honor this time, letting out a much more secure noise. He then floated into a drowsed state, never fully able to deeply sleep, however, immaculately close, while Violet joined him. Together, laying horizontal, touching each other gracefully; with intent, respect, and desire until the next bout of panic would sneak back into his organs. Temporarily, Alexander was at peace, absorbing the radiating security she was beaming.
