Standing in the pearl room, Jade had her eyes closed, her back turned from the door. The glass ceiling allowed plenty of light, though it wasn't quite sunrise. The warm colors were beginning to paint on the sky before her inside of her mind as well as around her. The room glowed deep blue and her forehead rested smooth and open. She smiled, feeling love surround her, opening her eyes. The sky was beginning to turn to violet, rose, and coral. His hand reached towards her head from behind. He rested it there gently. Her eyes closed automatically, feeling the energy from her crown being tickled from within. Jasper's gentle nature put Jade at ease. He released his hand from her head and put it to her lower back briefly as he circled Jade to face her. His desire lingered in the air as he moved. Coral skies broke to burnt orange. The connection between the two of them was palpable. She knew he was there before he touched her, it only reinforced her yearning to find him at all times. Feeling his presence caused her creativity to flow smooth and limitless. Oliver entered the room. Jasper and Jade simultaneously turned away from each other, allowing their magnetism to temporarily repel. The sky glowed amber, solar flares becoming visible before them. Jade greeted Oliver kindly, opening her arms to hug his shoulders. He gripped her and gruffly teased her with his words. She smiled, weakly, feeling the judgement between his lines, plainly on his face. Birds called in the distance. Jasper was watching Jade's face from behind his old friend but, she dared not look away from Oliver in this moment. The warmth of the room returned when Ruby entered, lastly influencing them all. Oliver didn't acknowledge Ruby. He simply set to work. His arms raised and they all formed a square. Jasper between Ruby and Oliver, Jade his opposite. Jasper and Jade raised their hands in tandem, Ruby followed quickly to catch up to Oliver. Oliver closed his eyes, back to Ruby and pointed his face to the sun, all followed as before. Like sunflowers, they titled their faces to the warmth of the air and soaked it in. The energy flowing to their prospective spaces. Ruby filled the air with red, letting out a pleasurable noise that the others allowed to wash over them. They continued their work, letting sound resonate from Oliver to Ruby and absorbed into Jasper and Jade. They felt connected to the earth, grounding their bare feet to the floor, balancing their toes to take as much strength and power to fill themselves as their heels. Ruby and Oliver let out loud sighs in synchronicity. Jasper and Jade, startled by the noise but settled by the inaudible vibrations. Their arms flowed smoothly, dancing with each other, well practiced. The stars themselves moving with their combined forces aligning. Jasper opened his eyes as Ruby's closed, Jade's hips feeling aflame as he began his part. She smiled, allowing her focus to wander slightly to a memory of Jasper's bare skin warming her own. Oliver cleared his throat. Her apologies sent quickly while her face grew pink. They had to find control and hers was want to be free. The downfall, being that they all could feel it and if Jasper hadn't been able to focus, they'd have to start over. They had been practicing for weeks and the day was coming soon where a fleeting moment could end them all for good. She knew the consequences but, let her fantasy take over just this once. Usually it was Oliver who would cause disruption. Ending them all with laughter, or at least most. Jasper was usually jovial but in these times he became the glue in a serious manner, to whit, Ruby was always first to point out and give pleasantries. Jasper let his mouth curl up in pleasure at the memory of Jade's but, changed the course to lesson the mood smoothly without anyone noticing directly. Oliver's eyes fluttered open and stared directly into the star, igniting support and confidence to them all. Ruby put her hand on her heart, feeling soothed suddenly by his initial ignorance that now spoke to her intelligently and clearly. Jasper and Jade responded openly to the connection between their friends, with sincerity. The remaining three placed their right hands to their hearts. Jasper opened his heart and projected it to Jade. She felt his heart beat deep within her. They all four synced their beat to this in time. Breathing together, beating together, moving their left arms together, their bodies resonating with the half moon of the sun, appearing before them. Easily the quietest of them all, Jade held the remaining power. Oliver waned his jealousy aside for her to take over begrudgingly. The others let the feeling go without lingering, their work was more than half complete and they already were doing better than most days. Their intuitions were heightened as the shadows of the room diminished slowly. Each one of them opening up their inner soul without needing their eyes. Ruby felt Oliver looking at her soul, deep within he moved his left hand as if she were behind him, her arm over his, she gave into his power, and he drew her closer, feeling her strength leave her. This was always tricky for the pair. Oliver would often release tension with gibberish meant to distract from the growing obvious attraction they shared. Ruby would often be left drained instead of enriched, as Jasper and Jade's energies would be equaled. The dynamic of Oliver and Ruby was in turmoil. Their restrictions put in place when their dances were finished. In this moment though, Oliver allowed Ruby to blanket him, though tense. Jade took a deep breath and let it out slowly in return. Each moment creating a forcefield around them. She felt the energy come alive appearing as diadems falling to their heads. Oliver's was filled with amber, quartz, citrine, and a cat's eye in the center. Regal and proud, befitting of a king. His chin extended with the weight of his magnificent headpiece. The scene depicted was of stars, moons, and heavens. Opals dotted each peak surrounding his head. The gold metal attracting the sun's beams creating bursts of white light around them. His body raised and Ruby felt the masculinity grow into his spine. She shuttered and they all felt her weightless body slide down. Jasper reached his hand to the center in response as Jade removed her hand from her heart to touch his hand through three feet of space. They could feel their skin between the air as Oliver was made uncomfortable and Ruby felt sadness in return. Jasper's crown was intricate and beautiful. It was plain at a glance but, with inspection it was filled with smaller gemstones that created an open book. Shades of orange and pink forming the pages with moonstone, quartz, citrine, and sapphire. In one single band it went around forming a peak above the book. Made of iron, it was heavy and solid. He wore it without thought of its weight, the knowledge within able to be carried by his wide shoulders. Ruby's crown was the lightest, held up by her brittle frame. Made from copper. If left unkempt, as hers often was, it would turn green at the edges. Her crown was manifested by vines, wrapping in a pattern much like nature, turbulent but inspiring. Peridot, jasper, jade, and citrine created the leaves and flowers all around the vines, wrapping her head in a circle of natural beauty. Oliver beamed at the sight of her in his mind. This allowed Jade to finish her manifestation last. A star sapphire was in the center, following the sun with it's connected points. Surrounding it were amethysts, blue sapphires, aquamarine, and violet spinel to form an open eye. Made from sterling silver, polished to a light sheen, it was smooth all around, only two inches wide, except for under the eye where it formed points above and below the eye. It rested between her eyes, seeing all around them. The sun was almost full now, the last of the bottom flowing up into the early morning sky. Momentarily, everything became white. The pearl room turned all of their crowns to clear quartz, then to moonstone, milky white, then to opal, reflecting all of their colors. Their destinies being delivered to them through their spirits, blurred by insufficient practice, and more clear than they had ever seen. Ruby began to let big warm drops fall onto her cheeks. She softly weeped for the power they all had and hoped it would change them for the better. The room was comfortable and calm. Jasper and Jade stood silent reading their ever more clear stories. Their hands returned to their hearts in tandem. Oliver breathed in deep for Ruby, allowing her lungs to expand farther than she ever had. She cried out at the stretch, grateful and scared of the intimacy. He placed his hand on her heart. They felt Ruby open, feeling the roughness on her edges. Oliver let Ruby take his energy and she began to stand taller, finally letting go of his ego if even for this day. They stood in this way all day. Oliver, Jasper, and Jade slowly turning to face Ruby, who was turning to face away. The light of the room began to fade from white to black. When the last light faded behind the horizon, the stars began to sparkle. Jasper opened his eyes to Jade, turning his body to her. She felt his eyes on her and smiled. The intentions of them both clearly read without speaking. When she opened her eyes she found his gentle amber eyes glowing. Oliver turned on his heels and stormed out, creating tension that left with him. Ruby sat down wordlessly, cheeks burning. Jade kneeled beside her and put her arm around Ruby, taking her sadness and turning it into comfort. Jasper put his hand on Jade's shoulder, squeezing gently. He looked at her with love and comfort. Jade touched his hand with her left fingers, responding with touch to his kindness and looking up at him. Her indigo eyes sparkled in the light of the moon. She understood his meaning when he nodded, smiling coyly at her and when he looked to Ruby and his brows furrowed in concern. Jade closed her eyes around her own watery eyes and faced the top of Ruby's head. She engulfed her in a hug while Ruby laid her head into Jade's chest. Their embrace was filled with love, acceptance, and clarity. Silent in the room, they sat, holding each other until Ruby looked up and thanked Jade for her care. Jade accepted her gratitude and filled Ruby up with more love just before Ruby got up to leave.
Jade closed her eyes and faced the moon. She sat like that for a long time, alone. The colors of the night enlightening her spirits from within. She felt Jasper calling to her through the halls. He was reaching for her, longing for her touch and warmth. Jade smirked. Her physical body would find him, after a short walk, laying in his chamber. His door opened slowly, by Jade, with a creak while Jasper swiftly pulled back the corners of the blankets, opening a space for her next to his side. She closed the door, removed her robes, bare feet chilled from the cold stone floor. A shiver was over her as she climbed into bed and Jasper tucked her in with his arms and blankets. She turned her back to him and nestled into his naked body. Jasper let out a quiet moan with desire and comfort into her neck, gently kissing her slowly and repetitively until she turned her face up to him. They locked eyes, agate and sapphire peering into each other. Jasper looked at her lips, turning his eyelids to slits, while craning his neck to touch her garnet skin, full and waiting. They kissed tenderly. Jade turned her body to face Jasper. His hands were on her lower back and shoulder, softly running his fingers along her porcelain skin. They bounced desire and excitement between them. Jade's fingers parted his auburn hair, feeling the shafts in small tendrils between her digits. She ran her hand down his back and over his hip, she coerced him forward touching their genitals closer. Together they took each other's cues softly until they both felt the release from their love making. Foreheads together, catching breath, Jasper still inside her, they smiled and lingered.
At opposite end of the castle, Ruby lay in her bed, wide awake and strumming her lute while humming to herself. The pain of rejection was prevalent in her prose. Her desires unfulfilled. Ruby had seen her destiny. Oliver had seen it too. If he was able to let go of himself for her, they could reach their potential together. Instead, she lay in her bed waiting for him to make up his mind. Her fingers sore from the vibration of the thick metal strings. She was serenading Oliver from afar, hoping and waiting for him to come to her. Oliver grew restless, walking the boundaries of the castle. He found himself standing under Ruby's window. One hand rested on the stone wall under her chamber, one hand on his heart, eyes closed, listening to her voice in the night air. He wanted her, deeply. He saw what the pearl room had showed him. It was red, glowing bright and warm. He felt Ruby, he knew it was her. He needed to join her but, he struggled with how to do it without compromising himself. Without realizing it, he had found himself climbing the stair, winding up to her tower room, with purpose and determination. He paused, wondering if this was the right choice. His destiny had also showed him being alone and quite happy but he wasn't sure whether it was stronger than the one he felt with Ruby. Unsure, he went deep within his mind.
He had finally come home, Ruby thought. She had stopped making noise when she felt him at the door. He didn't knock. He entered her room as if it belonged to him. He walked to her bed, took the lute from her grasp, laid it gently on her night's stand, and climbed onto her bed. He put his body over her, sliding his hands up her legs to her hips. Her robes fell to her sides as his opened with gravity in spreading her legs open with his own. They exchanged no words, just looked at each other while he ran his hands over Ruby. Her emerald eyes widened when he reached a sensitive area. Oliver's raw umber eyes narrowed as he slipped inside of her without warning. Ruby gasped and Oliver became solemn, both allowing his power and strength to take over her bed for the night. His protest for his destiny showed by never allowing their lips to touch. After she had fallen asleep, he struggled with the desire to leave and stay. He wanted to hold her as she peacefully slept as much as he desired his own chambers alone. In the morning, Ruby found her bed empty, her robes laid over her on top of her covers. She was on her side, curled in a ball. Ruby touched the small of her belly feeling Oliver still inside her. She let her tears fall, making her pillow damp.
Oliver had woke feeling quite stupid. His decision in the night wasn't part of his character but he hadn't figured out if he was happy about it or not. While thinking too deeply about it, he again found himself in a different location. He was in the kitchen, in front of the kettle. It began to whistle. He poured it into two cups, with loose tea he found in the cupboard. No doubt, a blend Ruby had foraged and dried herself, blending it for her own needs. He brought the mugs to her chamber and struggled with whether or not he should move forward. Taking a sigh, he pushed the door open and found Ruby where he had left her. She was sleeping, her body moving up and down with her breath. Oliver put the mugs on her nightstand next to her lute. He sat down on her bed and put his head in his hands, leaning forward, running fingers through his pitch black curls. He sat upright in response to Ruby's small hand touching his shoulder. He twisted to look at her pretty face. She smiled weakly. Oliver grabbed her by her waist and tucked her inside her own bed. He slid his legs under her thermal sheets and gathered her up into his armpit. She lay curled still, surrounded by his large arm. They laid without talking for awhile until he offered her the tea that had since turned from boiling to warm. She drank from the cup while he tilted it to her. He grasped her fiery locks with one hand, watching her peridot eyes look in the cup. Oliver needed to care for her so she could gain her strength. He needed to let her become stronger while he became vulnerable and weak. Together, their destiny to balance each other but, only at each other's expense. Both not quite sure whether they were ready to do so.
Jade's eyes fluttered open revealing the crisp lapis color against her light blonde hair. Jasper rubbed her back and kissed her forehead sweetly. They both smiled and settled back into slumber. When Jasper woke, he watched her breathing, quietly memorizing each part of her he could. He tried to slip out of bed, waking her in the process, their limbs too intertwined to be unnoticed in absence. She smiled, sleepily. Jasper told her to sleep more and enjoy her vivid inevitable dreams. He found himself drawn to her and kissed her softly first, before getting out of bed once more. Jade fell back into a deep sleep for several hours, waking still early in the morning. She looked around the room and found Jasper by the fire, with a small book, writing feverishly. She sat up, causing Jasper to be pulled out of his writing. He closed it and placed it on the shelf with the others. He stretched, not caring that he was naked, and came back to bed. They touched each other with passion and respect until their stomaches growled in response. Jasper kissed her cheeks, sending her to giggles before putting his robes on and descending to the kitchens. Jade rose and looked out of his chamber window. The view from her room was over a rose garden that bloomed most of the year. Jasper's view was of the tree nursery, a combination of large and small trees of various ages. It didn't obscure the whole view of the extended hills and valleys but, it was much smaller than her own view. Jasper returned with mugs of tea, several breads, and some eggs. He set the tray down on the bed in front of Jade, grabbing a roll and eating while standing. She put her arms around his waist and hugged him, kissing him over his robes on his stomach. Their destinies were already being fulfilled, the visions they saw were of each other, holding and helping Ruby and Oliver retrieve their potential. Jasper and Jade's soul becoming one, dark and light balancing each other.
