The universe sent her cruel jokes daily. Waiting for her to figure it out, slowly. She imagined Zeus throwing down his lightning bolts, one after the other. The thunder would roar and scare her, the fire would flame out and catch everything in it's wake. She looked around and tried to figure out which fire to put out first, if any. Oftentimes, she would laugh to herself and just watch it burn. Her mind would float away to another place. She'd think about men she had crushes on and fantasize about them holding her hand while she watched them burn, at the very least. Maybe she could invent a way to hose the whole place down at once. Meanwhile, the flames caught onto more things and time moved on. It didn't wait for her to figure out what was important. The domino effect of horrible proportions would continue to wreak havoc on her life. Her eyes alight with flickering peaks.
