Carry Me Caravan

Sunken in her seat, her body became more and more prostrate. She imagined the sea coming, slowly rising to take her away. Gently, she would be drifted out into the vast openness of the unknown, her fate unpredictable. The thought was terrifying as it was soothing. Anything and nothing could happen. She could rot away on a float, sunburnt and thirsty. Her boat could reach an island, untouched by civilization. This new place could be a start of something wonderful or she could repeat herself over and over for eternity, never finding the right answer. The endless possibilities tortured her mind, unable to remain present and focused.
